Magnus Briar is a wellness advocate who helps people to live authentically.
I have both a certificate and an advanced diploma in life coaching from the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology (Achology). In addition, I have taken over a dozen courses in topics including nutrition, addiction and workplace mindfulness from institutions such as Stanford, Berkeley and Harvard.
My Story
“All of us can live authentically. Sometimes we just need a helping hand.”
I am intimately familiar with the work of self-discovery. I have been blessed by the presence of helpers along the way. It is my great joy to have the chance to now help others.
And hard truths about ourselves aren’t always easy to face. As someone who has been sober for over half a decade, I know firsthand the lengths we will go to avoid confronting our authentic selves.
These experiences have given me maturity, a love of balance and a belief that better is always possible.
The lessons I have learned along the way are coupled with a deep knowledge of wellness and spiritual practices.
My Commitment to Clients
As a wellness worker, I have a strong commitment to professional ethics. Below are some of the values which guide my client relationships.
Confidentiality
As a wellness practitioner, I will respect your privacy and refrain from sharing personal information without your consent unless so required by law.
Respect
Respect for clients is a cornerstone of my practice. Clients can, for example, end a coaching session at any time, if they do not wish to proceed.
Informed Consent
When working with a client, I always ensure they are aware of the approach I am taking and why. I believe honesty is a cornerstone of wellness and a joyous life.
Equal Standing
When working with clients, I do not assume the role of priest, parent or parole officer. I am only a helper. I do not tell clients what they have to do.
Legality
My wellness work is completely legal. Clients will never be asked to participate in anything that compromises this core principle. This is discussed and agreed upon in our first meeting.
Professionalism
I commit to behaving in a professional, courteous manner with clients. This means, for example, being on time and ready for all client sessions.
If you have a question or concern, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
